erelim is a private place for a parent or caregiver to build a safety-and-crisis plan. You are our user; your child is not. This policy explains what we hold, how we use it, and the lines we won't cross. We've tried to write it plainly.
erelim doesn't monitor for danger and can't respond to an emergency. If your child is in immediate danger, call or text 988, or call 911.
Your account (your email); your ZIP code and a little about where you are in the journey, if you choose to add them; how you heard about us; what you write in your plan; the profile you create for your child; your check-ins and any short wellbeing measures; and your conversations with the assistant and your practice role-plays. You decide how much to add, and you can leave fields blank.
First, to give you the tool and keep your plan available to you. Second, to improve erelim. We keep a record of your conversations with the assistant and your practice role-plays, and we review them to make those features and their guidance better. When we use information to understand what helps across all users, we strip out what could identify you or your child first. “De-identified” means exactly that. By agreeing to this policy, you agree to this use.
Because this app is for families facing suicide risk, we take safety seriously. If something you send to the assistant looks like a life-safety concern, or the assistant decides a question is better handled by a person, we record that and a member of our team may review it, with your account attached, so we can check it was handled well and make it safer. This is not us watching over you, and it is never a substitute for calling or texting 988, or 911 in an emergency.
We never sell your information. Nothing you share here ever reaches another user. We never put sensitive content in email; an email from us is only a neutral notice with a link back into the app. We don't contact your child, and we don't diagnose them.
Your data is held in our own database, encrypted in transit. We design to a high privacy standard because of who this app is for.
You can view and edit what you've entered, and you can delete your account and its data. If you have a question about your information, contact us.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
